CICT Challenge

In almost 2400 students one should out stand. Someone who has the ability to pass every challenges. Someone who will fight until the end. A student who has the courage to overcome every obstacles. It is all or nothing!

CICT students, let me present to you the first ever CICT survivor, Mr.Glenn Mendoza of BIT 2-I. He was the one who overcome every challenges brought by the CICT week. I asked Mr. Mendoza what he felt while doing the challenges and this was his response:

Kabado syempre, hindi ko ine-expect na mananalo ko, masaya ko!”

Mr. Mendoza did six(6) challenges in order for him to win the 2GB flash drive. Those challenges were CICT Diskette Hunt, CICT Army challenge, CICT Egg Hunt, CICT Salon, I-jug-jug mo and the IT Hep-Hep!, Comp Tech Hooray! Challenge.

CICT Diskette Hunt

The diskette were spread out on the bleachers of the gymnasium. Forty(40) students who found a diskette were included on the next round.

CICT Army Challenge

Sack race, crawling under the ropes and sipping “water candy”, these were the three extraordinary test on the Army challenge. Teamwork was tested on this part. The forty(40) students were divided into four (4) groups (A,B,C and D), each group were composed of ten(10) members. Two(2) teams were given the chance to move on the next round. Those two teams were B and C.

CICT Egg Hunt

Teams B and C were no longer team this time because on this challenge, new teams will be formed. Every student should find a plastic egg from the faculty members and SWITS officers. There was a letter inside the egg(A and B). Two new groups were formed again. Every student should know how to deal with the other competitors in order for him to win.

CICT Salon

Salon Challenge? I'm sure this challenge was all about beautifying. In this challenge, every member should apply lipstick, wear a duster and open an umbrella. The first team to finish the race with the least time will move on to the I-jug-jug mo challenge. Team A won on this round.

I-Jug-Jug Mo

It was like “Tak-Tak mo o Tatakbo” of Eat Bulaga. A question and answer portion. Now, every competitors should make a choice if they will go to letter C (for BIT-Comp Tech students) and I(for I.T. Students). In this round, you will be tested if you were really a CICT student because the questions were course related. If you answer the question correctly, you will move on to the last round. Five(5) students qualified on this challenge.

IT Hep-Hep, Comp Tech Hooray!

When Mr. Keno Piad says I.T, the student should clap his hands and shout Hep-hep!,and when he says Comp Tech, the student should raise his hands and shout hooray! This challenge was very confusing because you need to response quickly. The person who will not be eliminated will be the winner. And that person who won every challenge is Mr. Glenn Mendoza.

This CICT challenge brought every students to laughters and thrill. I'm sure the other participants were really happy and thankful because somehow they've became part of the CICT week. Most of the students said that CICT week was more exciting and adventurous.
