Baklushii makes its debut in CICT Week

The opening of the 2008 College of Information and Communication Technology (CICT) Week started with a bang as the Search for the first Baklushii made its way to begin the first day of the CICT Week.

The day one of the CICT Week started in a parade with the different sections of various year levels wearing their respective colors together with the showstopper – from the CICT Building to the gym – the Baklushiis. Eight men from the CICT dressed up as women as they paraded along the roads of the university. The crowd burst into laughter and applause as they welcomed them. After the opening rites has been made, the moment that the whole CICT Family was waiting for came as the Pageant for the first Baklushii in CICT History opens.

The tilt was hosted by Mr. Keno Piad, CICT Instructor and Mr. Joel Cruz of SWITS. After the fashion, show ended the question and answer portion followed after. The judges were composed of three CICT Faculty Members namely Mr. Randy Dela Cruz, Mr. Edinnel Valentino and Mr. John Roman Tolentino. The questions mostly dealt about knowing one’s personality as a Baklushii. After the judges laid out their cards and analyzed the performances of the contestants, they gave their verdict.
